Buzzer is an electronic buzzer with an integrated structure, powered by DC voltage, and used as a sound emitting device in some children’s amusement equipment products. Buzzers are mainly divided into two types: piezoelectric buzzers and electromagnetic buzzers, and can also be divided into active buzzers and passive buzzers. Note that the “source” here does not refer to the power supply, but to the oscillation source. Buzzers are used in children’s amusement facilities such as Skywalk and The Wizard of Oz. What are the precautions for using and maintaining buzzers in children’s amusement facilities? Let’s take a look at the sharing brought by Aerospace Amusement.
1、 Let’s first take a look at the structure of the buzzer:
1. Piezoelectric buzzer
The piezoelectric buzzer is mainly composed of a multi harmonic oscillator, piezoelectric buzzer blades, impedance matching device, resonance box, and housing.
2. Electromagnetic buzzer
The electromagnetic buzzer consists of an oscillator, electromagnetic coil, magnet, vibrating diaphragm, and housing.
2、 Let’s take a look at the sound principle of the buzzer:
The sound principle of a buzzer is composed of a vibrating device and a resonant device, and the buzzer is divided into passive excitation type and active self-excited type.
The working principle of the passive excitation type buzzer is that the square wave signal input is converted into a sound signal output by the resonant device.
The working principle of the active self-excited buzzer is that the DC power input is amplified by the sampling circuit of the oscillation system and produces a sound signal under the action of the resonance device.
3、 The difference between active buzzer and passive buzzer:
The active buzzer can be directly connected to the rated power supply (as indicated on the label for new buzzers) to produce continuous sound; Passive buzzers, like electromagnetic speakers, need to be connected to the audio output circuit to produce sound.
Passive buzzers are relatively inexpensive and have controllable sound frequencies. In some special cases, they can be reused with an LED control port. The advantage of an active buzzer is that program control is relatively convenient.
4、 Precautions for the use and maintenance of buzzers in children’s playground equipment:
1. Before installation, pay attention to checking for any bumps, scratches, or damages;
2. Pay attention to maintaining the cleanliness of the usage environment and avoid excessive dust;
3. Pay attention to the appropriate temperature and humidity of the usage environment;
4. Pay attention to the impact of flammable gases in the usage environment;
5. Be careful to avoid mechanical malfunctions such as dropping or hitting the buzzer;
6. Pay attention to the working voltage and current within the parameter settings;
7. Pay attention to conducting regular inspections according to regulations;
8. If an external oscillator is required, follow the instructions for external connection.
